Jade APP

Jade APP

Jade APP is a free application with games designed for children and adolescents with autism, learning difficulties and other diagnoses, such as dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The application was designed by professionals specialized in the treatment of autism, with the goal of stimulating the players' cognitive functions in a gamified and fun way.

How the app works

1

Parents and guardians can download the app for free on tablets and smartphones through Google Play and Apple Store.

2

After registration, the user will have access to more than 1,500 exercises of different modalities and difficulty levels. Each phase is unlocked according to the player's performance, following the natural flow of learning.

3

During the game, the participation of the adults is essential. In addition to observing the child's behavior while doing the activities, parents/guardians/professionals can offer other types of support, such as giving tips when the child has difficulty or relating the task to something they know from their routine.

4

As the child uses the platform, a performance analysis is automatically generated with prognostic reports that can be analyzed by teachers and physicians.

5

With the data in hand, professionals are able to analyze the difficulties and strengths of each kid, enabling the creation of a personalized teaching plan.

F.A.Q.

  • How was the app developed?

The exercises were designed by the scientific and educational staff of Jade Autism. The learning competences included in Brazil’s Common National Curriculum Base were considered, as well as teaching methodologies aimed at autistic children and those with learning difficulties, and the impact of these activities on the students, so that they could adapt to their cognitive needs.

The main methodology used was Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). It is composed of a set of techniques that serve to expand the child's behavioral repertoire, such as Model Pairing and Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT).

From there, all activities go from simple to complex, gradually increasing the level of difficulty. This allows the user to create identity relations and arbitrary relations between stimuli and learning.

  • What age groups is the app recommended for?

Jade App is recommended for children and adolescents between 2 and 13 years old or students enrolled up to Elementary School.

  • How often should the student use the Jade App?

We recommend two ways to use the app:

    ● Daily, for up to 15 minutes (per session)

    ● 3 times a week, for up to 25 minutes (per session)

Reminder: In any age group, the use of technology has its benefits, but in moderation. Up to 18 months old, it is not recommended for children to use devices with screens.

  • What languages is the app available in?

    English, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic.

  • Is the platform only recommended for autistic children?

No. Jade App can also be used by children with other learning difficulties or even other diagnoses such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, among others.

  • Why create an app for children with ASD?

Because technology combined with therapy can generate major transformations in a faster, more playful and organized way.
